CALIFORNIA BUYDOWN/REBATE PROGRAM - The California Energy Commission is offering cash rebates on eligible renewable energy electric-generating systems through the Emerging Renewables Buydown Program. The Commission recently approved an increase in rebates from $3,000 per kilowatt to $4,500 per kilowatt, or 50 percent off the system purchase price (whichever is less). It is now more affordable to generate your own electricity using renewable energy.

NO OBLIGATION - Forms are available online, and take only a short time to complete. The government review process takes about 1-2 months. Once approved you have months to complete your installation, after a successful inspection of which you will receive your rebate for up to 50% or more of total costs. If you decide not to install solar there is no obligation (obviously no rebate either).
