Making Solar as Easy as A. B. C.

Our focus is residential retro-fit of solar photovoltaic systems to generate electricity and take advantage of net-metering.

Let's look at your path to solar:

1. Do you have a south/west/east roof? That is not in the shade, is in good shape and you will be proud to point to during your bbq's.

2. Do you spend more that $100 a month on electricity?

3. Are you going to live in your home for more that 10 years? I ask this because it is the payback estimate. 10 Years. Your solar system will continue to produce electricity for 30 or more years. The inverter is practically the only part that you will replace during the 30 to 50 year life of your system.

4. Ok, you're ready. How much does 1KW produce?

  • 1KW x 5 Sun Hours x 30 days = 150 kWh per month

    5. What is the Rebate Process in California?

  • determine size of system you want
  • fill multipage forms with i's and t's.
  • sign retail sales agreement for equipment
  • sign construction agreement
  • submit and wait 90 days
  • once you get your reservation you have 9 months to build your system.

    6. What is the installation process?

  • Get permits
  • Install :-)

Note: I will send you a DVD with Solar Photovoltatic Installation Movies for $20 bucks. Email Sales@ABCsolar.com

    7. We love the 3KW size. It maximizes the Great Sunnyboy Intverter and allows for easy math. Each 3KW system will produce 450 kWh a month. Your system target should be 50% of your kWh usage monthly. Your goal is to wipe out the most expensive electriciy, the over-base-line charges.

    A 3KW system costs $19,346.00 and contains:

18 - 167W sharp Solar panels (Panels subject to change by availability)
    1 - SMA SunnyBoy Inverter
    Mounting hardware for 18 panels
    DC Disconnect
    AC Disconnect

Installation will cost you between $1.00 to $1.50 per watt you install. Therefore, a 3KW system will cost you $3,000 to $4,500 to install.
